Our Lodge
Lodge “Georgios Souris” No. 114 works in Hermoupolis, Syros, under the National Grand Lodge of Greece.

Our name
The Lodge honours Georgios Souris (1853–1919), the satirical poet born in Hermoupolis and publisher of the newspaper “O Romios”, whose work portrayed Greek society of his time with wit and a critical eye.
The Lodge emblem
The emblem depicts the façade of the Apollo Theatre of Hermoupolis in gold, symbolising the splendour of Light and the honour of the Masonic tradition. The façade is flanked by two Masonic Pillars bearing the letters J and B on their bases, set on a dark field within a circular frame.
Above, to the left and right of the circle, appear the square and compasses in gold. Around the upper edge runs the inscription “NATIONAL GRAND LODGE OF GREECE”, and at the base the name of the Lodge.
